      GROUP 1 VERBS — PRÉSENT
        1.  Remove the -er from the infinitive of the verb.
        2.  Add the appropriate present tense verb ending for group 1 verbs.

   GROUP 1 VERBS — PASSÉ COMPOSÉ
     1.  Use the auxiliary avoir (to have) or être (to be) depending on the verb used
      in the present tense.
     2.  Add the verb’s past participle.
   GROUP 1 VERBS — IMPARFAIT
     1.  Find the nous form of the verb in the present tense.
     2.  Remove the -ons.
     3.  Add the appropriate imperfect tense verb ending for group 1 verbs.
   IMPERFECT TENSE VERB ENDINGS

   GROUP 1 VERBS — FUTUR
   Add the appropriate future tense verb ending to the infinitive of the verb.

    Add the appropriate imperfect tense verb ending to the future stem of the
    verb.

      Tom looks at the sea from his window.
      J’ai mangé avec mon ami hier soir.
      I ate with my friend last night.
      Tom et Charlotte se promenaient tous les jours.
      Tom and Charlotte used to go for a walk every day.
      Paul me donnera une leçon de piano demain.
      Paul will give me a piano lesson tomorrow.
      Charlotte appellerait sa mère si elle avait le temps.
      Charlotte would call her mother if she had time.
