While developing the detailed design of this syllabus, the recommendations as envisaged in the following
documents have been taken into consideration:
. National Curriculum Framework-2005
. National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education 2009
. UGC guidelines for designing curricula for Choice Based Credit System of Higher Education
The Course Structure, Credit System, workload of students, assessment and evaluation procedures and the
syllabus are stated in the following.
1. COURSE STRUCTURE
Programme structure for the Degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
Duration: One Year (Semester System)
1. B.Ed. Degree shall be awarded to candidates on successful completion of a two semester
programme of study.
2. B.Ed. programme will have courses of 48 credits distributed in two semesters, as given below:
