                                                                                           SECURITIES MARKETS
                                                                                            National  Institute  of  Securities  Markets  (NISM)  is  an 
                                                                                            educational initiative promoted by Securities and Exchange 
                                                                                            Board of India (SEBI), the regulatory agency in securities 
                                                                                            markets in India. The institute has been set up in 2006 and 
                                                                                            ever  since  carries  out  a  wide  range  of  capacity  building 
                                                                                            activities aimed at enhancing the quality of education and 
                                                                                            standards  in  financial  markets  in  general  and  securities 
                                                                                            market in particular.  NISM's six schools of excellence work 
                                                                                            in   synergy  towards  professionalization  of  securities 
                                                                                            markets.

            The securities markets in India has come of age.  With the
