The purpose of this study was to determine the students' perceptions of
blended learning in learning and teaching English. This research stems from the
problem of the lack of student participation in online learning classes, even though
they have mastered general technology or technology in learning.
This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach guided by Cresswell.
From data collection, this study uses a Likert scale questionnaire which is classified
based on frequency based on agreeing, strongly agree, disagree, and strongly
disagree. This research was conducted at MTs Nurul Islam with the number of
respondents being 30 students from the eighth grade.
The findings of this study from the cognitive aspect are that students get
support from learning media for online and face-to-face learning with a mean value
of 2.75 disagreeing with the medium interval value. In the affective aspect, students
have difficulty in following the development of online learning from their class with
a mean value of 2.86 agreeing with a high interval value. In the psychomotor aspect,
students prefer face-to-face learning because they can ask questions and interact
directly with teachers and friends with a mean value 2.9 disagreeing with the
medium interval value.
