Lake Road NDA 
                     Meeting Notes, September 8, 2021 
                              
       Meeting conducted via Zoom.  Participants were: 
       Susanna Pai, Sue Richardson, Beverly Curtis, Virginia Pai, Cpt. Ryan Burdick, Kate Houston, Teresa 
       Bresaw, Anthony Allen, Paul Hawkins, Debby Patten, Christine Giatti 
        
       Meeting started at 6:32 p.m.  
        
       REPORTS 
       Milwaukie Police Department 
       Cpt. Ryan Burdick reported these items: 
        
       The department is filling 2 additional positions.  Swearing in ceremonies will be held in October. 
       Cpt. Burdick mentioned body cameras are trying to be purchased.  The department has contacted 3 
       Different vendors.  They may go with Motorola cameras.  All officers will get a body camera by 2022. 
       It was noted the motorcycle missions wrote 80 tickets.  There were 11 men arrested for human 
       trafficking issues.  A man was arrested at the Milwaukie Bank of the West branch on robbery charges. 
       Cpt. Burdick mentioned the MPD has currently 32 full time sworn officers.  There are two officers that 
       are getting close to retirement in 2022.   
        
       TREASURER 
       In July,  our NDA received $4,000.00 from the city.  We have spent some of these funds for the 
       development of Bowman Brae Park.  The current balance in our treasury at the end of August is  
       $9,687.71.  
        
       PSAC 
       Nothing to report 
        
       LAND USE 
       There is a single family dwelling being built on S.E. Weedman Court.  Paul mentioned 55 lots were 
       projected for the Cerighino Farms Housing Development.  
        
       SECRETARY  
        
       The May 2021 meeting notes were read and approved  
        
       NEIGHBORHOOD TRAFFIC & SAFETY  
        
       Two NDA attendees approved the centerline stripping of S.E. 37th Avenue between Oak and Lake Road.  
       The suggestion of placing a SLOW SIGN at the top of the hill as it curves was presented.   
        
       PRESENTATION 
        
       Virginia Pai, Milwaukie Parks Foundation Board Member, announced the Sunday, September 19th “Come 
       Play in Milwaukie Bay” event from 1-4 p.m.  This free event will be held at the Milwaukie Bay Park.  
        
       NEW BUSINESS 
        
       Christine Giatti was elected as the Lake Road PSAC representative, Teresa Bresaw was elected as Co-
       Chair and Kate Houston was nominated as another Land Use representative in our NDA.
