YEAR 7 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2023 
                                                                              
            Everton Park State High School is offering Scholarships for students who are attending Everton Park State High School in 
               2023. 
       
            A scholarship will entitle the student to the following: 
                 •     Student Resource Scheme payment waived for two (2) years – currently $270 
                 •     $200 uniform voucher to use at the School’s Uniform Shop 
             
            Scholarships at Everton Park State High School will be presented for one of the following: 
                 •     Academic achievement 
                 •     Leadership excellence  
                 •     Cultural excellence  
                 •     Sporting achievement/potential 
             
            Criteria for all Scholarships 
                 •     Conduct:   Your most recent primary school report must indicate that your conduct in the classroom and 
                       playground has been excellent at all times. 
                 •     Attendance:  Your most recent primary school report must show your attendance. 
       
            Criteria for individual scholarships 
                 •     Academic Achievement:   
                       You have demonstrated high levels of achievement across all subjects. 
                 •     Leadership Excellence:   
                       You have demonstrated that you are a positive role model to your peers.  Please outline your leadership role at 
                       the school e.g. School Captain, Captain of the sports team, leadership positions within your classroom, 
                       participation in school and community activities (fund raising, Red Cross Door Knock Appeal etc.) 
                 •     Cultural Excellence:  You have demonstrated a high level of selection in your chosen field of creative arts (Drama, 
                       Music and Visual Arts) and participation in school curriculum and extra-curricular activities e.g. School Band. 
                 •     Sporting Prowess/Potential:  You have demonstrated a high level of selection, e.g. District, for your chosen sport 
                       and participation in school carnivals. 
             
            Guidelines 
            Scholarship applications will be processed by a panel at Everton Park State High School, and the successful applicants will be 
            presented at a special ceremony.  The decision of the panel will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 
            Additional Information 
                 •     Recipients of the scholarships will be advertised in Everton Park State High School publications as well as in the 
                       local community. 
                 •     Successful applicants of the scholarships will be required to sign an agreement acknowledging the conditions of 
                       the offer. 
                 •     Recipients of the scholarships will be notified in writing, as will unsuccessful applicants. 
                 •     Applicants for the scholarships can include references or declarations from their previous teachers, tutors or 
                       specialist personnel. 
            First round of Expressions of Interest for Scholarships for 2023 are due by Friday 16 September 2022, marked Attention to 
            the Principal, Everton Park State High School, PO Box 33, Everton Park, QLD, 4053.
