      Bryan Stevenson’s best selling book Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and 
      Redemption led to the making of this film. Based on Bryan’s true life story, the 
      film follows the courageous journey of him and a small team pioneering a free 
      legal service for men sentenced to life on death row. 
      Stepping Up
      “Fight for the people who need help the most” was Bryan’s mother’s advice to 
      him throughout his teenage life.

      Bryan’s grandfather was killed over a dispute of a black and white television and 
      no justice was served, so Bryan became a lawyer as he wanted to bring justice for 
      people and help bring about change.
