                             Dangerous Goods Training Template 
                  Introduction 
                  The Civil Aviation (Carriage of Dangerous Goods) Order 2020 requires all operators or M- Registered 
                  Aircraft to be trained and assessed as required by the ICAO Technical Instructions for the safe 
                  carriage of Dangerous Goods by Air Transport. 
                  Further guidance on the requirements for all operators of M- Registered aircraft, regardless of 
                  whether you carry dangerous goods or not, can be accessed from the Flight Operations Section of 
                  the IOMAR website.   
                  Operators who wish to apply for approval to carry dangerous goods should refer to RP4 Part 2 
                  Chapter 5.5. 
                  To assist operators of M- Registered Aircraft who are not approved to carry dangerous goods, 
                  the Registry has provided a training template. 
                   
                  Dangerous Goods Training Template 
                  The Dangerous Goods Training Template is available upon request from flightoperations@gov.im.  
                   
                  The Dangerous Goods Training Template, Examination Papers and Course Completion Certificate 
                  must be tailored to the operator’s specific procedures.  The Operator must: - 
                       1.  Insert your logo in the Master Slide View; 
                       2.  Customise the PowerPoint slide wherever text states  “<< Operator to…>>”; 
                       3.  Add the operator’s Emergency Procedure into the “Safety Training” section on slide 70. 
                       4.  Amend the Training Certificate to include your company logo; and 
                       5.  Create a minimum of 4 questions on each examination paper to test the understanding 
                             of the candidates on the operator’s specific emergency procedures (both examination papers 
                             include 18 pre-prepared questions). 
                   
                  Notes:  
                       i)    The Operator does not need to submit the training material for approval.   
                       ii)  The customised training material and training records may be requested as part of the 
                             Registry’s performance based oversight programme.
