     BETA VS. SANDBOX
     EXPLAINED
     Many of you will be familiar with the Sandbox 
     environment, which enables you to access a 
     recent copy of your Live database
     The key point is Sandbox IS NOT your live 
     database. Sandbox is completely detached from 
     the live database and anything you do will not 
     update your live system
     Beta is different in that you are accessing the new 
     version of CMAP on your live database, ahead of 
     the official launch
     The key point is Beta IS your Live database. 
     Anything you do in Beta is directly updating the 
     live database and will appear in your live system

     HR MODULE 
     UPDATES
     We’ve made 4 significant HR-related updates that 
     will enable you to do more with the functionality:
     1. Creating the distinction between “Me”, “My 
       People” and “Other People” in Security Groups 
       for HR Pages
     2. Enabling “private” self-serve fields to be shown 
       in the self-serve section of the user profile
     3. Setting the default starting position for HR 
       custom fields to private on set-up
     4. Removing sensitive fields from the “Customise 
       Columns” options in user grids e.g. Actual Cost 
       Rate. Sales Target, Productivity Target, etc.

              EXTRA ACTIVITES
              UPDATES
              We intend to do a larger review of the activities 
              functionality in the Spring 2021 Release, there 
              were some items we wanted to act more quickly 
              on:
              •  A new “Copy From Fee Estimator” function 
                 automatically copies tasks from the Fee 
                 Estimator as activities so they can be assigned 
                 to individuals
              •  An “Is Empty” filter has been added to the 
                 “Category” field in the grids, so they can be be 
                 filtered and updated
              •  Automated Activity Templates can now be 
                 applied to potential projects even if you don’t 
                 set a Project Manager and Co-pilot(s) at this 
                 stage
