The intersection of climate change
and agriculture
• Climate change poses major risks
– erratic temperatures, precipitation changes,
rising sea levels and the increase in frequency
and severity of extreme weather events.
• Small-holder farmers, pastoralists and
fishers especially vulnerable as their
production systems often lack the
resources to manage an effective response
to climate threats.
